The gearbox and engine are reliable, smooth and provide a good driving experience. The downside is that the onboard computer, the radio and other electronic items are prone to misbehaving. Fault codes are often easily addressed by plugging into the main dealers computer, but the backlight for the dashboard display failed. Cannot be replaced need an entire new one at £400+ . headlight ......to replace, back to the dealer. I have just had a problem with water geting into the fuse box (windscreen gutter drain is designed to pour water over the fusebox?, ) and causing some damage to connectors. Multiplug connectors not available, new loom 3K. FM on the radio has failed, cannot repair due to poor design new radio £1500 plus fitting!! What i find with most MPVs that come in as that there is a reasonable amount of space in the first two rows but the people in the back get kinda squashed. It handles well unless it is windy and then it is more like driving a sail as it is terrible for catching the wind but it is basically a box on wheels so what do you expect. It chose me!! Advantages: Loads of room, comfy, safe,Disadvantages: sliding doors are very difficult to use Choice of vehicle was limited for me because I was getting a new used car on my mobility benefit and had to buy from a place that could sell them. After all, that's the reason and purpose of the benefit. To afford to be mobile!! My husband is also disabled and cannot walk far either, so we needed space for TWO scooters not the usual one. We didn't want to have to struggle dismantling then assembling them in the rain either. Plus we needed room to ......while etc. and from all the ones available, only the Ulysse fitted the bill for me. When they are in we do have to dismantle the scooters though, but it isn't often so is fine. To get the scooters in, we leave the two rear seats out and push the passenger ones forward as far as they go, this is how the seats remain while it is just us two travelling in it. The Fiat Ulysse, Citroen Synergie, and Peugeot 807 share the same chassis, running gear, and most of the body work, each manufacturer modifying the front end to match their own corporate image of the time. The engines are PSA engines rather than Fiat, and the whole car is assembled at a single shared factory in France. It entered production in 1994, and was replaced in the Fiat line ......the last 5/6k miles, the Fiat garage have reset this but it comes back on a few weeks later. This doesn't at the moment appear to have any other effect on the car. The other electrical niggle has been the remote central locking stopping working, the key still does the job though!
