this car in August 2011 as a gap car until receiving my Company car from work. I have covered 2500 miles in the car whilst in my ownership but as company car has now arrived we have no need for the Punto anymore. Please Read All Info Before ing...This car is not perfect as price reflects Good Points.. When i purchased the Punto in august i replaced:- HT leads, Spark Plugs, Air Filter & The throttle was cleaned, The car runs really smooth and due to the low mileage the engine and gearbox function as they should. The brakes work well and there are no nasty shakes from the steering. This is a very nippy small car with 88bhp as standard with no modifications like many on here. Whilst in my ownership the car has averaged 36 mpg around the town and 45mpg on a longer run which is very good considering the power output. Car was also fully detailed upon purchase by a professional which included all the paintwork being polished and a meguiars wax coat added. Interior condition is very good and the bolsters dont show any major signs of wear neither do the carpets or steering wheel. The interior is clean and is from a smoke free family. The car has 3 former keepers, the last two being female. Known repairs needed Handbrake Cable has snapped - £18 from euro car parts. Offside rear wing is showing signs of rust on the wheel arch and has a small dent and a scratch on the panel. Offside door has a small crease at the edge - Paintwork not broken. Roof has a small area of rust on the passenger side . Rear lightbulb warning light intermiterdly showing when braking, I believe this may be an incorrect voltage bulb fitted but havent investigated. Front N/S alloy is curbed. Service history paper work not present. 　 I have listed all the known issues but please dont let this put you off the car has been extremley reliable whilst in my owner ship and has never failed to start in the morning even when left for longer periods of time or in the poor weather. What car price valuation for this car with mileage is £1431 based upon poor condition. For someone with the time to fix this little car up they will have a nice reliable economical car for a fraction of the going rate. think as Oslo grey as it has a definite Scandinavian aspect to it. | It`s the 999cc FIRE (50hp) with 5 speed box. | Here`s a list of the work, and the car`s condition. Anything you`d like to know in addition, just ask. | Transmission | 4x4 works fine, in fact the easiest to engage/disengage of any Panda I`ve had. I haven`t greased or serviced the propshaft etc so that should be checked at the next service. Gearbox is good, no undue whines or notchiness. The car needed inner driveshaft boots when we first got it, which were fitted by our local gearbox place, along with new oil. | Shockabsorbers are all good, although the upper metal shroud of the rears is tatty (doesn`t affect the way they work though, and there are no signs of leaks). | I`ve replaced the original headlight bulbs with uprated 55/60w `brighter` bulbs - made quite a difference. | Tyres | All legal, plenty of tread, but mismatched and I did plan to replace them with a matching set. All the wheels have been were rubbed down, treated and sprayed. I do have some spare sets of refurbed wheels with either winter/snow tyres (secondhand) or brand new Continental Ecos which I might be willing to sell separately, but the tyres on the car are fine as they are. | Interior | No burns or damage. Very simple - a sort of fawn colour. No radio (they weren`t fitted as standard in the very early cars). There`s not much in the sense of "spec" in a Panda. It will have the wiring in place to fit a stereo if you wanted one (I could do this if you really wanted me too, as we have a spare one). | Brakes | I replaced both front calipers and hoses as one brake was sticking slightly. Car pulls up straight and well, brakes are excellent. Needs tracking doing which will be done before we sell. | Engine | Runs and pulls well. Distributor replaced, HT leads, cap, van advance, ignition module, plugs etc all replaced. Oil was changed for a good 15/40 semi synth a few months ago. New oil and air filters. Radiator was replaced new by previous owner, I drained and re-filled with a good antifreeze/water mix when I was servicing the car. Exhaust system has been replaced in full recently too. | Body | It needed welding for the last MOT. This was carried out by our local recommended welder. Work was done on both rear step sills and on a corroded area I found when removing one of the rear wheel arch liners. Everything was then treated with Dinitrol Fe 900 rust converter and then protected with Dinitrol hard black wax (with a compressor). Underside is excellent. I also sprayed some Bilt Hamber Dynax cavity wax into sills etc. | The doors were both replaced with completely rust free ones, and any other repairs carried out. Paint match is OK but not brilliant. I still haven`t flatted down the paint fully (keep meaning to, but to be honest it polishes up well as it is, but it needs a couple of runs flatting down). If I were to keep it, or I decide to go the whole hog when selling it, I`d sort the paint out but I`d rather save the time at the moment. There is some light bubbling on one rear arch (but I do mean light). Should be treated though. I have bought a litre of custom-mixed paint to hopefully improve paint match but not yet used, will come with the car. | The Panda has the extra wide 4x4 mudflaps (which look great!). I suspect these were fitted from new. | Other Faults? | There is a slight wheel bearing whine at speed. I`ve never seen it as significant enough to do anything about, but it`s something to keep an eye on. There is a small sharp dent in the rear tailgate and a little rust in the tailgate lip. I intended to fix these (and the arch, and paint match) but have decided to be a bit more realistic about time for once! | History | Mileage is 57,900 now. I have the original Fiat wallet for the car, with the original bill of sale and MOTS and service book up to around 39,000 miles/2001. It was a Gloucestershire car before I bought it. I was told it was a farmer`s wife`s car. I`m convinced the mileage is genuine having got to know the car well. | Overall - a solid and useable Panda (not a concourse one though), a rare early Mk2 4x4 in an unusual colour.
