V5 is present, and car comes with 2 keys PLUS the all important RED KEY. The bodywork and interior are very good. Great on petrol too. The only real problems are the nearside passenger`s window doesn`t open. May have come off runners. And the one fog-lamp has a broken lens, but I have a brand new replacement ready to be fitted that will go with the car.All in all it is a very good, reliable car. when it had 8 miles on the clock and have since driven 4030 miles, just a few long journeys only, as I cycle to work and have another car, and carting the Grandchildren about during school holidays. | In between being manufactured in 2007 and UK registration this Doblo was exported to Malaysia, where it was stored for 3 years, before being sent to the UK, still as a new car, why I dont know, but the dealer I bought it from had several for sale. I have 2 MOT test certificates, the first from March 2011 shows 2 miles and the 2nd, August 2011 shows 4 miles on the clock, as I said previously when I picked it up it had 8 miles and was essentually a new car. | This Doblo has not even been used over winter, so it is almost as clean underneath as on top and corrosion free, almost like a new one. Doblo is a nice metallic grey, with grey interior, has 7 seats, which are easily removed, as you can see in the pictures. | You could even have it made into a nice little camper van! http://www.fiatdoblocampers.co.uk/ | I have fitted a tow bar, which I used once to tow a m/c trailer. | Unusually for these, it has the optional air conditioning, other listed options are remote central locking, electric outside mirrors with demisting, ABS, electric front mirrors, roof bars. imported back in 2006 from Italy by a TV company (the ones who do Shiela`s wheels ads etc) for use in the National Lottery advert that ran for a short time with lady luck and Barry the unicorn (hence the colour that the car is)It was found in a very sorry state stored in a hedge after use for the advert, missing most of its suspension with the most awful body kit attached to it (also included in the sale). I`m fairly sure a copy of the advert is obtainable from Camelot directly. | Anyway the car found his way home here where he`s lived since December 2007 when he was granted his age related plate. Structurally he was relatively sound with just two small repairs required on the floors and sills as he`d been in Italy most of his life. | Since ownership i`ve completed numerous upgrades, I bought brand new alloy wheels for him in `08 along with a set of lowered springs and up-rated shock absorbers along side the Abarth rocker cover and deep alloy finned sump, the best purchase was the 123 electronic ignition kit which makes him start first time. Also I fitted some 126 high back seats and the Abarth style (less sticky out) headlamp surrounds. | The engine is the original 595cc motor which runs really well, last winter I put all new gaskets and seals on / in the motor and also cleaned the centrifugal oil filter and renewed the O ring, it does have a small oil leak from the top of the engine but i`m sure will be a very easy fix. It also has the 28imb carb fitted with sports exhaust for the extra horsepower , it does sound really cool! The gearbox is also from a 126 so it has syncro on 1st. | Its such a fun car to drive and seems to add a smile to surrounding faces when people see him, it sounds great and handles like a go kart. | Now , the nitty gritty - Ive not used him since last April 2011 so there`s no Tax or MOT on him, saying that it would probably go through with very little needing as I replace all the brakes and wheel cylinder when i got it. It may possibly need a small amount of welding around where the battery fits, its not structural in any way, but I know my mot tester raised an eyebrow last time he saw it last year. And I know that the kingpins need greasing as i`ve not done them in some time, but again they should be sound as I replaced them when i got him. It could do with a new rocker cover gasket as the one that`s on it has been on and off a few times from setting the tappets after the re-gasket. | Since ive not used him he`s been dry stored in my garage so has not been out in the weather. So body wise he could do with a re-spray, he`s still in "Lotto Purple" which was a rough job purely for TV, he`s not shiny and he is quite scratched and still the original colour on the inside. All panels are in quite good sound condition. It does come with a small box of spares comprising of lights mostly plus the original front leaf spring, spare diff, oil, Abarth rocker cover and center console that I didn`t get around to fitting. | He`s a very honest little car what you see is what you get, there`s no fear here of buying an over restored filler monster, Ill be very sad to see him go but I have another project which has taken preference. | The car is now `sorned` and will need to be collected on a trailer, plus just to explain its on a classified ad as its the cheapest way of now advertising on ebay. | Don`t just `watch` make an offer !! | Item now re-listed, please do not come to see the car expecting perfection its nearly 40 years old and does need stuff doing to it which is why it is cheaper than your average Fiat 500. | X | £3800.00 | |||||||
